VIPColor Announces Durability Enhancing Solution for Inkjet Labels at PackExpo

September 26, 2005 (Las Vegas, NV) -- VIPColor Technologies (Newark, CA) introduces SecuraJet Ribbon, a ribbon designed for users who need extra durability for their custom label applications, protecting against water, oil and a myriad of general purpose cleaning products. This cost effective coating can be used on a range of different die cut or continuous inkjet label stocks.

This solution is ideal for custom water bottles, beverage, sauce, ointments, nutraceutical and vitamin markets. Moreover, SecuraJet protects product labels that will be stored in freezer or refrigerator, or need to withstand the riggers of continuous cleaning like retails shelf talkers. This process provides most of the benefits of varnishing or lamination with manageable supply costs and low or even no extra equipment expenditures.

VIPColor has seen, during extended UV life tests, that the labels useful life in bright sun can be extended by months.

Once die cut labels have been digitally printed, the label can be coated by running the VIPColor SecuraJet ribbon and the printed material simultaneously through almost any thermal transfer printer on the market today. The VIPColor SecuraJet Ribbon is specially formulated for matte or gloss finishes, with the matte version providing the added benefit of producing a deep, rich, high gloss look to the normally lackluster matte material, creating a high end look and feel at a lower price point.
